This charming, yet dated Victorian house in Fulham was full of character, but it needed a fresh, practical layout for modern family life. The refurbishment included a side return extension, which added valuable extra space and allowed us to make the ground floor more functional. I reworked the layout completely, incorporating a practical utility room and cloakroom — small but essential touches that make everyday life easier. The top floors were also reconfigured and storage implemented where possible. All materials were carefully selected, from finishes to door handles, as well as furniture, accessories, and soft furnishings, to ensure a cohesive and harmonious look. The result is a Victorian home that balances charm and practicality — a space that feels welcoming, comfortable, and perfectly tailored for family life. Photo credit Rachael Smith.
