Fulham Broadway

I loved the challenge of bringing as much light as possible into this dark lower ground floor and making it welcoming. The "before and after" change is quite spectacular, and it is now a bright space where my clients enjoy spending a lot of time with their four children and friends. There was a bedroom on the street side and an adjoining gloomy kitchen with no window and narrow access to the dining and lounge areas. On the rear extension, the dining, living room and outdoor space also needed a big makeover. From their initial brief - minimalist design scheme with white kitchen, white walls and some wood accents - my clients have come a long way approving the introduction of colours, patterns, textures and contrasts. The wallpaper with trees became a favourite along with the tiled herringbone floor that imitates wood almost perfectly. Photo credit Veronica Rodriguez.
