Fulham Broadway Part 1
I loved the challenge of bringing as much light as possible into this dark lower ground floor and making it feel welcoming. The “before and after” transformation is quite spectacular — it’s now a bright, inviting space where my clients love spending time with their four children and friends. Originally, there was a bedroom on the street side and an adjoining gloomy kitchen with no window and only narrow access to the dining and lounge areas. The rear extension, which included the dining, living room and outdoor space, also required a major makeover. From their initial brief — a minimalist scheme with a white kitchen, white walls and a few wooden accents — my clients have come a long way, embracing the introduction of colour, pattern, texture and contrast. The wallpaper with trees quickly became a favourite feature, alongside the herringbone tiled floor that imitates wood almost perfectly. Photo credit Veronica Rodriguez
