The brief was to re-think the layout of the ground floor of this modern house in Southfield, South London, and to extend the living room to the rear by more than four metres. My client wanted to maximise the storage space and to have a desk area, open shelving, bio-ethanol fireplace and a hidden TV. A 6 metres long white lacquer joinery unit was designed. The TV was hidden behind a concealed door with a bespoke painting placed at the front. This was achieved by the very detailed work of the carpenters in my network and an artist commissioned by my client.
