Brittany House

A very challenging and exciting project in France. This 1990s Brittany house was quite dark with yellow and granite walls, dark wood beams and doors, and brown tiles on the floor.  It undertook an extensive remodeling: only the interesting beams were kept apparent and a heavy wooden spiral staircase was replaced by a more airy steel design. A steel window was designed to separate the kitchen and dining room and the new warm grey polished concrete flooring enlightens the entire ground floor. Two dated bathrooms were also reconfigured and the top floor was completely redecorated. This is now a very bright and welcoming holiday house. The before and after photos will give you an idea of the transformations. Photo credit Caroline Morin.
